In accordance with the University of Mumbai Circular dated May 2019 and the UGC Circular, a College Grievance Redressal Committee has been established to address and resolve student grievances effectively.

Objectives of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee-
  1. Encourage Open Expression: Promote a safe environment for students to express grievances freely and frankly, without fear of victimization.
  2. Timely Resolution: Ensure grievances are resolved fairly and in a timely manner.
  3. Impartial Handling: Address grievances impartially to build trust among students.
  4. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality to protect the privacy of students during the grievance process.
  5. Supportive Environment: Foster a supportive educational atmosphere and govern discipline to uphold the dignity of students and the institution.
  6. Strengthen Student Bonds: Enhance the relationship between students and the institution by ensuring facilities meet satisfaction levels, contributing to a conducive academic environment.
  Functions of the Student Grievance Cell-
  1. Acceptance of Grievances: Accept written grievances from students regarding academic and non-academic matters, including amenities, library services, canteen food, faculty behaviour, teaching practices, examinations and personal issues.
  2. Scrutiny of Grievances: Review and scrutinize grievances submitted by students and staff, taking immediate necessary action.
  3. Implementation Mechanism: Create and implement a mechanism for handling reported grievances.
  4. Forward Findings: Forward findings to management if further action is required.
  5. Follow-up: Conduct follow-ups on grievances at regular intervals until they are resolved.
  Procedure for Grievance Submission-
  1. Grievance Submission: Students can submit grievances through the online portal provided on the website of the collegeor by dropping the complaint at the grievance box which is installed on each floor named as “MY FEELING” box.
  2. Review Process: The Grievance Cell will formally review all submitted cases and take appropriate action.
  3. Resolution Assurance: The Grievance Cell will ensure that grievances are addressed and resolved within a stipulated time frame.

By adhering to these objectives, functions, and procedures, the Student Grievance Redressal Committee aims to create a transparent and supportive environment for all students.
