ABOUT IQAC

As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

IQAC established at KLE continued to strive for the betterment of processes and setup.

GOALS OF IQAC

The primary aim of IQAC is:

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

OBJECTIVES OF IQAC

  • The dissemination of information on various quality standards of higher education.
  • Documentation of various programs / activities leading to quality improvement.
  • The preparation of the report to be submitted to the accreditation body on the basis of quality standards.

INITIATIVES OF IQAC

  • Discussion with department on their activities.
  • Faculty orientation programme for fresher’s.
  • Student Inauguration programme for first year students.
  • Improve the teaching methods using ICT Techniques.
  • Initiating the smart classroom.
  • Strengthening the mentoring system.
  • Student skill development programmes.
  • Facilitating the Faculty development programmes.
  • Documentation of department and club activities.
  • Guiding and motivating the teaching faculty to publish their research articles.
  • Financial support to the faculty to attend seminars, conferences, workshops and research activities.
  • Motivating clubs and Associations on various activities.
  • Initiate to get membership for faculty form various professional bodies.
  • Student feedback on teaching-learning.
  • Feedback from the parents and employers.
  • Performance evaluation of teaching faculty.
  • Implementing the ideas of faculty and students.
  • Involving students in college decisions.
  • Collecting reports and uploading it to the AISHE.
  • MOUs with various institutions and industries.
  • Green initiatives.
  • Academic and Administrative Audit.
