About Department
The department of BAMMC came into existence on KLE’s horizon in 2016. The course itself being glamorous has earned the prominence by the hard work of faculties. The department hones young, qualified and dynamic faculties who are also experienced in the Media Industry.
The department is dedicated to impart holistic knowledge about media industry in such a way that the students graduating from the course can immediately start working as a Media Professional.The three year course offers specialization in Journalism or advertising. Journalism specialization is all about core journalistic values, reporting, writing and editing, creating content for various formats, learning diverse beats of journalism and acquiring the necessary skills to excel as a journalist. In advertising, students learn the basic theories of advertising and marketing, process of ad creation, creating content for various media formats, copywriting etc.
Media field being the most dynamic field, the department is focussed to impart skills which are most desirable by the industry professionals. This is done through seminars, workshops, guest lectures and industrial visits organized by the department.
A spacious library with a collection of quality books and a digital library with computer systems equipped with all the necessary softwares is available to students to get hands-on experience.

What is BAMMC and what is taught in this course?
The course Bachelor of Arts in MultiMedia and Communication gives a holistic understanding of Media Industry, Society and inter-relationship between them. The course includes basic core subjects such as fundamentals of mass communication, Media studies, basics of journalism and advertising, film communication a few courses from sociological perspective like Media, Culture and Gender, a few Technical subjects like Computers and Multimedia etc. And in final year students are asked to choose a specialization from Journalism and Advertising.
What is the eligibility criteria for BAMMC Course?
A fresh attempt with Minimum 45% in HSC examination with any stream(Science, Commerce, Maths etc).
What are the opportunities after graduation? One can immediately start working in Media Industry in sub fields like,
