About the Department
The Department of FC-EVS came into existence in 2020. The department has grown their expertise and competence in curriculum over the years. The department has highly qualified, young and dynamic faculty members.
The department is dedicated to impart high quality education in Contemporary Issues, Social Issues and Environmental Issues to the undergraduate students for helping them to solve challenging problems. The department organized national seminars, lectures and workshops by inviting various eminent experts in the field to create awareness about the social and environmental issues among teachers and students. Along with the teaching responsibilities, the faculty members are actively involved in various activities that focuses on Community awareness program, research and development, meritorious careers in academia.

The Departmental highlights for the academic year 2021-22
- The department celebrated “World Population Day” on 11 July 2021.As part of this celebration the Department has conducted Article Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition in which 42 students took actively participation.
- The FC-EVS Department and Physics Department jointly organises National level Webinar on “Challenges and Opportunities before NEP-2020” on 30th August 2021 to create awareness about the NEP-2020 among the stakeholders.
- The FC-EVS Department and Physics Department jointly organises National level Webinar on “NEP-2020: Implications in Higher Education in India” on 8th October 2021 to create awareness about the NEP-2020 among the stakeholders.
- The Department has organised a National level Quiz titled as “Education and national Integration” on National Integration Day on 19 November 2021.
- Prof. Milind Gurchal has published research paper titled “Multidisciplinary and Holistic Approach in Higher Education with reference to NEP-2020” in March 2022.
- Prof. Milind Gurchal has delivered a guest lecture to the students of Pillai HOC ASC College, Rasayani under “Faculty Exchange Programme” organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell of KLE College, Kalamboli and Pillai College Rasayani on 10th October 2022.
- Prof. Milind Gurchal has published research paper titled “Comparative study of Online and Offline Teaching Learning Process” in April 2022.
- The Department has organized Annual Social Science Fest “AGHAAZ-2022” on 16th March 2022.
- The Department has celebrated “National Constitution Day” on 26 November 2021 in which PPT Presentation, Documentary on Drafting of Indian Constitution and Mass reading of Preamble was conducted.
- The Department in association with research Cell has organised Two Days National level E-Workshop on “Writing Research Proposal for Funding Agencies” on 14th and 15th January 2022.
- To develop the future career planning among the students the department has introduced certificate course titled “Career Planning and Development”. The course covered the topics which are essential while planning about career.
- Prof. Milind Gurchal has completed “One Month Faculty Induction/Orientation Program sponsored by MHRD, New Delhi from December 2021 to January 2022.
