About Department
The program of M.A. P.R. came into existence on KLE’s horizon in 2023. The course itself being glamorous has earned the prominence by the hard work of faculties. The department hones young, qualified and dynamic faculties who are also experienced in the Media Industry.
The department is dedicated to impart holistic knowledge about media industry in such a way that the students graduating from the course can immediately start working as a Media Professional.Keeping the continuity with the bachelor's degree offered by the college, we have designed a specialized Masters degree program in Public Relations. The program creates an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of Public Relations, principles underlying organizational behaviors and the management and development of the human resource.
The programs emparts the skill of media technologies, publics and content creation and dissemination with a Public Relations intent. At teh end of the programs students get practical knowledge through designing and managing various PR campaigns.
Media field being the most dynamic field, the department is focussed to impart skills which are most desirable by the industry professionals. This is done through seminars, workshops, guest lectures and industrial visits organized by the department.
A spacious library with a collection of quality books and a digital library with computer systems equipped with all the necessary softwares is available to students to get hands-on experience.

What is M.A. PR and what is taught in this course ?
The public relations professionals and lobbyists are the actual movers and shakers in the world of modern media, which includes the presence of a variety of media industries and up-front journalism. Public relations in the media is all about communication that fosters relationships at multiple levels such as the community, organization, and corporate sector.
This curriculum, which integrates theory and practice, will assist students in learning and practicing the critical parts of public relations in the media environment. Students learn about public relations theory and practice, media relations and media writing, organizational behavior and human resource policies, research in public relations, ethics in public relations, public relations campaigns, new media and technologies in public relations, the role of finance in public relations, media management, and media advocacy. Practical exercises will be included in each subject to enable students obtain practical experience in the field of public relations.
